We had an unbelievable group come out to join us for a three course meal, wine, free gifts to take home, gift registry info and an epic demonstration on decorating your own wedding with IKEA products!

Check out the photos below, we designed three different table set-ups showing three different price points (low, medium and high). Our aim was to give as many tips and tricks so that everyone can feel super comfortable about designing their own wedding but also using tools and information to stay under budget, and have a stress free set-up!

I know I may say this about every couple, but I actually get excited about how cool our clients are and can't help but brag!

Laura & Dan were SO fun to work with. Both the most cheerful, cheeky, laid back, and incredibly fit (yes fit) two people and I feel so lucky to have been able to be apart of their special day. Laura & Dan hired us for Event & Floral Design, as well as Day-of Coordination. Obviously I was thrilled about the blank canvas they booked as their venue - Holland Marsh Winery, and we were going all out in...white!  White florals, white linens, white chairs, etc. and we couldn't have been happier looking back on our everything turned out.

Now I'm posting this about a year later, and super excited that these beauts are having a baby very soon! From the girls at Inspire, congrats guys! ... we also expect baby visits.

The wedding design pros from Inspire Event Rental & Design are partnering with IKEA Etobicoke to bring you our first ever Wedding Workshop. Join us Wednesday June 28th, 2017 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm for a three course dinner, gift registry sign-up, gifts to take home and a demonstration on what IKEA items you can use to create your perfect wedding design.

We'll be emailing ticket holders in the weeks leading up to this event to determine main course choices and if you have any specific questions you already have and would like answered in our demonstration.

In this workshop we'll be showing you THREE different wedding designs all ranging in price and effort level. All designs are customizable to your favourite colours and flowers and completely built with IKEA decor so you can even leave with all your beautiful decor that day! Find a team of vendors you trust with the day - Your make-up artist, hair stylist, photographer, videographer, even your decorator. Finding a team of vendors that are great at what they do and also work great together will make the world of a difference when it comes down to the day of your wedding. If you find an awesome team, you’ll avoid feeling like you have to micromanage or check in on progress. Hiring a team of vendors that you trust will also keep you on time and worry free because basically, these people are prepared for anything. Just remember - In a wedding, event, any production, things go wrong or plans change. It’s how you deal with it is what determines how your special day will turn out in the end. If you put your trust in your vendors and know that if any issues arise, they know exactly what to do and how to fix any situations. Basically, let the pros deal with everything and make sure you focus on having a great time.
2. Make your morning luxurious, it’s your special day, why wouldn’t you!?
- Go for an early morning yoga class, have a spa morning, sleep in… do whatever. you. want. It’s your day and the way you begin it will determine how the rest of the day will go. Relax, try not to let nerves take over, there really isn’t anything to be nervous about! Take the morning slow, and incorporate the next few tips for a luxurious, care free morning. Keep in mind you’ll be getting photos back from your photographer and there will be quite a few shots of the morning. 4. Make sexy snacks and beverages - Mimosas are so yesterday. Create something beautiful and tasty, like these three drink recipes.

Grapefruit Mimosa - Skip the OJ and use grapefruit juice instead. It’s better for you, has less sugar and tastes unreal.

- Fill half the glass with grapefruit juice
- Top up with Bottega Prosecco
- Add beautiful fruit garnishes

Don’t just buy fruit platters from the grocery store and put them out. Have your friends and family skewer berries, or cut grapefruit to add on a beautiful platter with cane sugar. You’re treating yourself today with beautiful details which include your morning of food and bevies. You and your friends will enjoy sipping pretty drinks, snacking on pretty food, and feeling pretty, now how lovely does that sound?
Hibiscus Bubbles - You can get beautiful jarred hibiscus from home and gift stores like Simply Beautiful. When bubbles are poured over, these beauties open up and look absolutely stunning. They also taste amazing!!

- Drop a hibiscus into the champagne glass
- Top up with Bottega Prosecco
Pommy Prosecco - Take a pomegranate and use those beautiful seeds and juice to create a gorgeous and tasty drink.
- Fill champagne glass halfway with seeds and juice
- Top up with Bottega Prosecco
5. Remember your crew - These chicks are at your wedding and in your bridal party because they mean so much to you. Have FUN with them and don’t micromanage. Sure you may be a little nervous, maybe even a little stressed, but try your best not to take it out on those around you. Have the best morning of preparation and fun, relaxing while you’re all getting beautified, that way you can look back on your special day and recall how you spent it with your closest and most meaning relationships.

Kids parties don’t need to be all plastic plates and cartoon characters. Design a party that you’re proud of and let your kids feel fancy! Add a charger plate, print a name tag, throw in a centrepiece, they’ll absolutely love it. You’re creating a little experience you all can enjoy together. If you’re not the creative type, then hire companies like @inspireeventrental who bring in everything you need, from decor, name tags, plates and cutlery and then clean up the mess when you’re done!
Invite the adults too
Kids remember fun events that they had with their parents. When you have a little dinner party, or lunch, brunch or tea party both kids and adults can enjoy themselves, especially if friends and family are around.
Make fancy drinks
Kids love colourful drinks with crazy garnishes, have a cheers and enjoy. Oh! and a little bubbly to the adult drinks for some added fun.
Plan a series of activities to keep kids interested
Cupcake decorating, mommy and me mani’s and pedi’s, but our personal favourite is a reveal cake. Refrain from cutting the cake until the end of the party, but create anticipation for what’s inside. Find innovative companies like @withlovefromThuyandThi who will not only colour the inside of the cake, but add hidden surprises like gum balls or jelly beans. How much more exciting is it to cut into this mystery cake and have candy tumble out!?
Hire a photographer
Even just for an hour to shoot the details you worked so hard on and to get the kids’ (and even the adults’ ) reactions to all the excitement displayed on the table! Sure, without a photographer you’ll have phone photos of your guests, but you should be part of the action too! You’ll be thankful you did, especially when you see all the great shots, like these ones from @helloinspira.
